Marketing Team Management

Team #1: Reground Theatre Collective

In January of 2019, I became the Marketing Director for Reground Theatre Collective, a non-profit theatre group aimed at providing intercollegiate opportunities for Boston area emerging artists outside of their university education. I led a team of 3-5 graphic designers through multiple campaigns and brand transformations over the 3 years Reground was running. I was also the website designer, creating 2 iterations for audience members to truly understand what Reground was all about. Some of the Marketing campaigns I ran are below.

Campaign #1: Reground Summer Camp

During COVID, our team was looking for a way to provide an opportunity to create digital theatre from home. We decided on a virtual workshop of some sort, and I pitched the theme of summer camp that we could base all of our branding around. I split a lot of the digital sketching with fellow graphic designer Verena Calista Irawan, and she pitched the color palette to keep our designs cohesive. After doing some mood boarding, we really fell in love with the patch concept, as well as the tents in the woods.

Campaign #2: From The Ground Up

In Fall of 2019, the Reground Team led a student-written One Act Play initiative called From The Ground Up. After selecting two plays, "Mrs. Wrath" by James La Bella and "Love in the Valley of Mexico" by Liana Giangiulio, we designed campaigns around the content of their plays. While I did not graphic design for this project, I led all brainstorming and the multiple rounds of edits we made to each of these pieces.

Reground Theatre Collective Website

I redesigned the Reground Theatre Collective website as our brand idea was changing. I was really inspired by the unfinished, by the process, and by those things being beautiful. This led to a lot of ripped paper details, tape headers, a handwritten font designed based on Artistic Director Des Bennett's handwriting, and frame menus. You can find the website HERE.

Campaign #3: Reground Theatre Festival

Reground Theatre Collective hosted a 10-minute play festival featuring six plays with participants from nine universities in the Boston Area. I managed a team of 2 graphic designers to create the main event poster. I then contacted 6 different graphic designers across Boston Universities in order to design individual posters for each of the six plays we would be producing. Then, after the production was finished, I used the photos I took of the plays to create a series of season posters for each play.

Team #2: Underepair Design Team

Based on my work with Reground Theatre Collective, I was brought on as the Marketing Director of Underepair Design Team, a group dedicated to decolonizing the Boston Theatre scene. After brainstorming and coming up with the name for the group, I worked with graphic designer Sam Krot to create a color palette for our branding. Then, her and I worked together to design various attributes for the project. I took over creating our Friday Features of our team, she focused on other posters about our mission statement and how we work.
